Provider Productivity: Technology that Makes Time for Care
Virginia Health Care Foundation (VHCF), a key implementation partner in Virginia’s Rural Health Transformation efforts, has launched its Request for Applications (RFA) for Provider Productivity! Approximately $7-9 million will be available.
This sub-initiative is designed to support Virginia’s rural health care providers with:
- Decision Support: Provide patient-specific clinical guidance to support timely, informed point-of-care decisions.
Documentation: Reduce time spent producing and maintaining clinical documentation (e.g., ambient scribes).
Workflow Automation: Automate administrative and operational tasks surrounding visits (e.g., prior authorization, inbox triage, referral processing).

Provider Interoperability: Where Connection Meets Care

This sub-initiative is designed to support Virginia’s rural health care providers:
Incorporate technology into their practices.
Modernize their EHR systems.
Strengthen cybersecurity infrastructure.
Upgrade legacy systems, enhance internal data exchange and reporting, and protect patient information from increasing cybersecurity threats.
