Health Value Dashboard

To keep track of how Virginia performs on delivering health value and to determine how we can facilitate action for improvement, VCHI led the development of the Virginia Health Value Dashboard.

Task Force on Primary Care

Primary care faced serious challenges before COVID, but the pandemic brought these issues to light, and in fact, made them much worse. The multi-stakeholder Task Force on Primary Care was launched to address real concerns about primary care sustainability.

Smarter Care Virginia

A first in the nation learning collaborative tackling the reduction of low-value health services with the help of 7,000 clinicians and a robust Employer Task Force.

The Virginia Task Force on Primary Care is pleased to share its completed reports for SFY’24. The primary care spend report reflects information about primary care spend and utilization, including telehealth and behavioral health in primary care. There is also a total cost of care brief and a primary care scorecard. The primary care scorecard now includes a patient experience section and an interactive dashboard coming soon. A one-page comprehensive outline provides key initiatives and recommendations for SFY ’24 and ’25.

WHO WE ARE

The Virginia Center for Health Innovation (VCHI) is a nonprofit, non-partisan, multi-stakeholder public private partnership established in 2012. Since the organization’s inception, VCHI has cultivated trusted relationships with key stakeholders and helped turn competition into collaboration to design a health care system in Virginia that delivers better health for patients, better satisfaction for providers, and better value for purchasers.

WHAT WE DO

VCHI is the principal trusted convener in the Commonwealth of Virginia leading cross-sector improvement in health care value. We provide transparent and equitable access to research on and the monitoring of indicators tracking the performance of Virginia’s health care delivery system and public health system on health care value and wellbeing. We champion policy changes and improvements in Virginia’s health care data infrastructure so that those who provide, receive and purchase health care can make better informed decisions.
